Remember The Alamo, The Sequel

Risking blasphemy and a quick trip to Hell by evoking one of our sacred cows we Texans hold so dear, I believe this picture says more than any news blurb. Yeah, I know it’s fake, likely done with AI, but it represents how we feel and how much of our country feels. This time, we have more than 200 defenders, but the invading force numbers are in the millions, and the lawless folks in Washington are added. I’m not a violent person, but I will admit that I own firearms and am not afraid to use them, so I guess Momo and I might be open to joining these fellas on the banks of the old Rio Grande to protect our state and country. Just to make things right, before I wrote this, I ate two Whataburgers and offered a prayer to Saint Willie, so I should be good to go and forgiven of my trespasses and all that.

“Remember The Alamo,” the battle cry that changed the course of American history. “Come and Take it,” the flag that solidified Texas’s place in history. I don’t expect a body from New Hampshire or Deleware to understand our heritage; those states have the revolutionary war to wax about. If Texas seceded from the United States, we would have the tenth-largest economy in the world and could easily sustain ourselves as a republic without the interference of those grifters in Washington. What’s evolving by the hour at our border is a preview of things that might be coming. Yeah, we are all braggarts bordering on insufferable assholes at times, but everyone wants to live here. Wonder why? God Bless Texas and Davy Crockett.

  1. Yo! And I’m ready to join you in the fight, cowboy. I’ll pile my books and my cat and my rifle in the Jeep and drive right on down and to hell with DC and the whole Northeast.

  2. What doesn’t often get mentioned is that Crockett, Houston, Travis, and the other Alamo martyrs were revolting against Mexico because the Mexican government had decided to outlaw slavery, and the above martyrs being slave-holders, they held out for their property rights. It was a sneak preview of our later Civil War, but in this one secession to preserve slavery won out.

  3. I share your sentiments, Phil. Now, as soon as we take care of the invading horde, we need to address those who are the “enemy within,” and we might do that at the same time we go around collecting those who got through the wire during the Biden pandemic. We’ll let Mayorkas sit at the front of the bus.

  4. I love hearing you write about Texas. What worries me is all this talk about secession. This country depends upon Texas. Soros and all these people are trying to move illegal aliens and liberals in there. If we lose Texas, we lose the country. Lose her either by secession (which is probably unlikely) or by them turning her blue. They’ll do anything to keep power and sometimes I’m not sure even Texas can stop them.

    1. It won’t happen, but Texas could survive if we did. Yes, the hard push is on to bring us down, but I don’t see that happening. Things are tense at the border and getting worse around the rest of the state so stay tuned.

    1. Exactly! I have been saying for YEARS that they are religious, hard working family people and it won’t be long they are here, and they’ll vote conservative! They are not woke socialists and they came from that crap. It’s DIVINE JUSTICE. I hope I’m here to see it. (Though I still think they should come in legally to be sure who is coming in.)

      1. I know Hispanics, hell, my daughter-in-law is Mexican. Most of the folks I know are conservative and will likely vote that way so the entire scheme may backfire in a glorious blaze. It’s not them I worry about, it’s the bad guys from the Muslim and terrorist supporting countries that now outnumber the Hispanics. They will do us harm.
