Dispatch From The Cactus Patch….April 26, 2024

Elon Loves Me Two Times….

I must be doing something right: Twitter has banned me twice in the last month. Calling out a violent Hamas-loving terrorist protester for assaulting a minister will get you banned, but not loading videos of murder, rape, and assault that is deemed acceptable. I will wear my banishment like a new suit. Also, WordPress AI took over my first post and made crazy alterations, so I deleted part of it. This is the newer version.

I love Cows: what’s not to love about them? I once had a herd of Bovines and Horses, Goats, Mules, and Chickens. I never saw the Cows interact with the Chickens except to kick them out of their way. Now we have the Chicken Flu in Cows milk. How did this happen? I fear the DEI movement has taken hold of American dairy farms. Cows are now forced to intermingle with the lowly Chickens, all in the name of equality and diversity, and thus, we have the Cows infected with the Chicken Flu, which Faucci says is ten times more deadly than the Covid thing. I’m not buying it and will continue to drink my hot milk and Ovaltine. Chicken Flu be damned.

WordBook Has Arrived…

I knew it was going to happen: WordPress is morphing into FaceBook. The current climate of protest and hate on our expensive kindergartens known as universities is spilling over into WordPress blogs and comments sections, something that has crippled FaceBook in recent years. Is it only me, or have any of you noticed that the hardcore educated liberals waste no time in going after folks who don’t agree with their ideology? I guess that a teaching degree, a social science degree, or a master’s degree in Taylor Swift’s Music theory gives them the fortitude to admonish others who live in the real world. Now, the old Sniffer wants to ruin the stock market with a 45-50 percent capital gains tax, which will decimate retirees’ stock accounts and destroy American capitalism in one swipe of his Nancy Pelosi Model fountain pen. Let us hope there is enough brain power in Congress to stop this socialist madman.

  1. I have 24 grandchickens. Hopefully, they won’t get the chicken flu and pass it on to my granddogs They gobble up their droppings before coming back into the house.. 🙂

    1. And then those little doggies lick your face, and they might be carrying the Chicken Flu from the chickens. We have chickens next door and so far they appear healthy: lots of pecking around and doing what chickens do. I had a Chic Fil A a few days ago, and no symptoms yet. Honestly, I think the entire thing is blown out of proportions, just another thing to scare us into submission…again. My late grandmother had around 500 laying hens and half dozen worn out roosters, which my cousins and me used for target practice with our Daisy BB guns. After a while, they developed lightning reflexes and could dodge the BB’s like in the Matrix movie. She never had a sick chicken on her farm, but then they didn’t last long enough to get the flu.

      1. My daughter’s neighbor had 15 free range chickens, but 13 became entrees for foxes, coyotes, and hawks. Once they’re gone, we expect them to dine on our grandchickens. I’ll bet your granny’s roosters made good soup as long as you were careful not to choke on the BBs. 🐓

      2. We had fried chicken for dinner and supper, everyday. I soon loathed chicken anything. The chickens took over the farm at one point and my grandfather sold as many as he could catch. There were a few three-legged ones that he never caught…too fast.

      3. Only when I visited the farm. I spent a month or more every summer turning myself from city kid to country bumpkin. The upside was granny made buttermilk pies to offset the chicken torture.

  2. That capital gains tax is stupid crazy. They will say it’s for the ultra rich which is crazy. It will affect anyone that corporated themselves such as family doctors…and who would want to invest here? Canada just raised their capital gain tax and people are raising hell about it.

    1. If for a miracle from hell happens and he gets this through, Momo and I will be living under a bridge eating Friskies cat food. We depend on our meager investments for groceries and meds. We might consider moving to Canada, Momo’s sister is married to a Canadian and her kids have duel citizenships. They would put us up in their barn.

  3. “stupid crazy.” Well said. Overseas there are liberal, rabid anti-communists bemoaning that here in the US the Senate is “controlled’ by republicans. When in fact the Democrates are in control and rule fairly-well not by law but by executive edict and application of justice department agencies under gestapo direction. Woke will kill us. More and more anything “social” on the internet regardless of its declared “intent” is Woke and that’s a four-letter five-letter word, “Wrong.”

  4. Yes, you are right. This stuff is what terrifies us the most from this asshole.

If he taxes “unrealized capital gains” –that asshole, we’ll be under that bridge with you. Maybe I’ll get censored from WordPress for using the “A” word.

I haven’t checked to see if WordPress is censoring me. I can’t imagine why they’d censor YOU or why Elon would. I suspect he wouldn’t, but he’s hired someone who does on occasion censor people he shouldn’t. Usually it’s some phrase of language, I think, than overall content. You should protest it.

Horrible world these people are making.

    1. WordPress now uses AI and they appear to be woke as the rest of them. Certain words will automatically be changed to be less triggering. Check every blurb before you post, mine was changed without me knowing it, and it was nothing sensational. X is going after the wrong folks, which is not like Elon Musk.

      1. Yes, I’ve known cases where Elon has over-ridden his staff or his program’s banning decisions. I think he needed to get out of that personal role and wanted someone in the middle. Or someone not perceived to be far right. That has not gone perfectly.

He also treated Matt Taibbi pretty weird after Matt wouldn’t put all his stuff on X. That would have delegitimized Matt’s reporting on the censorship. And I think Elon saw Substack as a bigger threat than it is. ”Notes” worries him. But I agree with Matt there.

I will have to watch WordPress and see if they are censoring me. Have not checked at all. But it occurred to me it was coming.

      2. Matt is one of the few real investigative journalists out there: now the msm is censoring him, even though he is a liberal. Elon is getting a lot of bad press right now, and let’s hope he can survive it. Yes, check your writing before and after posting, it’s a real threat.
