The Final Gasp Of Hallows Eve

Eddie the Raven

Tis almost over, the night of ghouls, Ravens, and goblins, beggers of sweets, impersonators of the great, the terrible, and the incorrigible loose souls. I have made it through another Halloween and haven’t seen or heard anything about Taylor Swift. Thank the Lord she didn’t show up at the Rangers versus the Diamondbacks game.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,

Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—

While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,

As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.

“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—

            Only this and nothing more.”

Until next year, I bid you adieu.

  1. We spent the evening on the Las Vegas Strip, using the Linq Promenade as a passageway from the parking lot behind the High Roller to LV Boulevard, and taking a side trip down Spring Mountain Road to the Sphere, which is awesome! We saw some people in costumes. And one pathetic Elvis impersonator…

    1. I would think LV would have been costume central. I lived there off and on for 3 years in the mid 90s building 3 car dealerships in Henderson. I went to the strip only when folks from my office in Plano came into town.
