Another One Bites The Dust

Ain’t talking about the Queen song either…This is not a political post, just telling you about a fool

The Dixie Chicks, Maren Morris, Kacy Musgraves, Garth Brooks, The Jelly Roll, and now Zach Bryan, a unique club of country music losers. Entertainers need to shut up and sing their little songs, collect their cash, and get back on the tour bus to the next city. The fans don’t pay for your political stands. I think Springsteen and Mellencamp finally figured that out. Hollywood is starting to realize that.

Country music fans aren’t usually very liberal, and if they are, they keep it close to their tool shed. Now we have country star Zach Bryan, a huge arena-filling star, a Navy veteran, purposefully giving himself the Bud Light Award. I liked the guy’s music, not that much, but he was one of the many run-of-the-mill country artists who sing about pickups, beer, and girls and such, but he just put a big X on his career. I don’t agree with everything Israel does or says, but they are God’s chosen people and our allies, and Hamas came over from Gaza and killed thousands of young Jewish teens and families, about the same age as his core audience, and he wears a “Free Palestine” T-shirt while on stage at Gillette Stadium. Has this man had a mental breakdown, or has he listened to Garth Brooks too much? He’ll likely get a call from John Rich, Kid Rock, Ella Langely, the ghost of Hank Williams and Chet Atkins, and his record company any day now. Bye-bye baby.

  1. I don’t get it. You will lose fans either way you go. And…there is not a dang thing you can say that will make a difference period. I don’t know modern country and with this…I’m glad I don’t. Hey…just for him opening his mouth…I hope the crowd in his next concert boos the hell out of him. Maybe it will finally stop these nitwits from opening their mouth. What’s next? Politicians picking up guitars?
When artists do things like this…I stop buy anything they have.

  2. Ignoramus. These dimtwits know nothing about the history of “Palestine” and Israel. And they know even less about sustaining a career, apparently. ~Ed.

  3. I don’t have a T-shirt demanding a free Palestine, but I’m not averse to the sentiment. I just differ from most folks about how to achieve it. My idea is to free them with about three or four MOAB bombs from about 1,000 feet ASL. That should do it; problem solved.

As for those big-name-losers who, as you say, rake in the cash … I’m not even sure why anyone wants to go to their concerts, much less buy their CDs.

    • Excellent idea. I used to think that perhaps the folks there were being held hostage by Hamas, and they are somewhat, but the majority of the citizens who still live in the rubble have, and still do, support the Hamas terror ideology. Yasser Arafat ( fake Ringo Starr) got all this going back in his 15 minutes of terroristic fame. We must consider that about a third of our nation are morons, and especially the entitled young ones. The other third is on the rail, and the rest of us seem to see the light and know what is going on and about to happen. Good thinking and comment, Sam. I wouldn’t go to any artist show that lectures their audience on their political beliefs, no matter which side they lean to.
