John Prine’s words remind us that nothing is impossible…

My… my, look how things have changed. Kid Rock, a lifelong Christian, and a newly converted Christian, Eminem, are collaborating on a new Christian-themed album. Take that Swifter and her little minions, Godless imitators. That’s the way the world goes round, as John Prine once said. The music business isn’t quite dead just yet. It will likely be recorded in Nashville with a slew of good country musicians, and John Rich and possibly Ella Langley are rumored to be involved.
When it comes to God, you are either with him, or you’re not; there isn’t an in-between bar to set up and have a beer while you wait to see if the Holy Spirit hits you. Both have said controversial things in the past, but people change as they age, realize their mistakes, and repent. I’m not easily surprised, but this one caught me napping.

This is surprising. Actually, it’s delightfully shocking. 😱
I knew Kid Rock was a solid Christian, well, as much as a beer-drinking, gun-shooting boy from TN can be, but the Eminem coming over is a good thing.
Ah, I finally found the box to comment. Kid Rock is from the town I raised my kids in in Michigan. So he is not from Tennessee. Ha. He grew up in Romeo, Michigan. And had a fancy place in Grosse Pointe. I hope you are well, Phil. My daughter tried to fix my account. We’ll see.
Hi there, Lynn. Yeah, I knew he was from Michigan, but now he lives in TN. If you need a phone or computer or a website fixed, let a kid do it.
Truly Good News!
Pretty cool how Holy Spirit just picks the ones He wants to zap and surprises everybody!
It comes at the most unlikely moments. One minute you’re sitting in a joint, drinking a cold Falstaff, then the Holy Spirit hits you on the side of your clueless head, and “Bam”, you’re a Christian. God has a great sense of humor, and this likely happens more than a few times a day. I personally know a guy who came to faith this way. He still drinks himself a cold brew, but he prays before his first sip.
